Dandelion - Westport: Fresh Mediterranean Flavors & Elegant Dining in Fairfield County

⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Fresh and Flavorful Addition to Fairfield County Dandelion is such a welcome addition to the Fairfield County dining scene. From the moment we sat down, both the food and service impressed. The wood-fired pita and hummus are absolutely incredible — easily some of the best I’ve had anywhere — and the Moroccan cigars are a must-order. Every dish had that perfect balance of flavor and freshness that makes you want to come back and try more. The only miss for me was dessert, which didn’t live up to the same high standard as the apps and entrées — I’d definitely skip that next time. Overall though, Dandelion delivers a truly memorable dining experience, and I’ll definitely be back for another round of those starters!

From the moment you slide into your seat, the ambiance wraps around you—dim, warm lighting, elegant glassware, and a setting that feels intimate enough for a date but lively enough for a night out with friends. ​The Drinks: The wine program here is clearly on point. Whether you are starting the night with a deep, full-bodied red or sipping a crisp white to pair with your seafood, the selection feels curated and elevated. It’s the kind of place where you want to savor every sip while soaking in the surroundings. ​The Food: The undisputed heavyweight champion of the night was the steak. Cooked to an absolute turn and seasoned with confidence, it was tender, rich, and deeply satisfying—a proper meat-eater's dish. But the real genius was the finish: a scoop of pomegranate sorbet. It was the ultimate palate cleanser—bright, tart, and refreshing—perfectly cutting through the richness of the meal. ​The Vibe: What sets Dandelion apart is the energy. It’s polished but not stuffy. You can feel relaxed, have a laugh, and genuinely enjoy the moment (even if you're just staring contemplatively at your wine glass!). ​Verdict: Come for the aesthetic, stay for the incredible seafood, and definitely don't skip the dessert. Dandelion Westport is a total mood.

Excellent food and the service was seamless on opening night. We had the hummus starter which was delightfully creamy with some whole chickpeas and the smoky heat of some crunchy aleppo pepper flake. For the entrees we enjoyed the grouper with the fennel citrus salad and the perfectly complex swordfish kebab with oregano, lemon labneh and crisp onion dusting that was paired with a delicious vegetable and grain salad. A pair of turkish coffees capped the night perfectly. Carla was a wonderful server and the supporting staff and management could not have been more welcoming. We will definitely be back to this beautifully decorated new addition.

Delicious food, beautiful decor, fun vibe and great service. We ate outside where it wasn’t as loud. I was as pleasantly surprised how good the food was.

We went recently for their new Brunch and were blown away. The space is absolutely beautiful with vaulted ceilings and a lot of natural light. We ordered the Hummus appetizer which came with homemade pita which was delicious and extremely flavorful. I think during the course of the meal we had 3 or 4 different types of bread and I was extremely impressed that none of them tasted or felt redundant. My wife had the Shakshuka and said that it was full of flavor and each bite was giving her little pops of new tastes and was really enjoying it. I had the Levantine Eggs with Lamb belly hash which was lovely, lots of great flavors that all complimented each other. Cocktails were elegant and very tasty as well, and wine list really complimented the food.

COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF AND STAFF! Thanksgiving 2025 here was the best holiday dinner ever! Every course was excellent and well thought out. Great idea to give family style for apps and sides and only take orders for the entree and dessert especially on a busy holiday. Each course was timed perfectly. The food was fresh. The turkey was moist. The potatoes were crispy. Felt great value was given.

Ate here while staying at the Delamar Westport. The restaurant was very busy, but the food and service weren’t affected. I ordered too much food, but they had so many items on the menu I wanted to try. Everything was delicious- Moroccan Cigars, Roasted Sheftalia sausages, Wood Fired Broiled Prawns, Dandelion Salad, Hen of the Wood mushrooms, Baba Ganoush, Pita… all excellent. 5-star dining experience. I’ll be back next time I am visiting the area.

This place is utterly outstanding. It should be on the Michelin star list. All the flavors of every dish complement each other. The hummus and pita was th best I have ever had and could eat it go every meal for the rest of my life. The lamb belly was impeccable. The chocolate moose dessert, oh my. Sara made the best cocktails and was a delight to talk to and offered solid recommendations and great service. If I could leave 10 stars I would!
